 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American actress, comedian and activist. After emigrating to America her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. She began her career as an actress in her early years as a child. Her most well-known work is her appearances on AT&T television commercials. In these commercials, Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and in 2020 (since 2020 (from). Apart from commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub, who was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has been voiced that role since. Vayntrub was Jewish and was born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. She and her parents fled antisemitism at the age of two. They moved to West Hollywood. She started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials at the age of five because of the family's financial troubles. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit following her sophomore year. She earned a GED and then went to complete the Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of California, San Diego. She was a member of improv comedy group the Upright Citizens Brigade.
