April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star American She is one of a small category of females who have had medals won in more than one Olympics. She will be competing in Tokyo to compete for her third Olympic gold medal along with Alix Klineman, who is a first time Olympian. Ross is hoping to secure an Olympic the first medal of gold however, she also hopes to win greater. With her age of 39, this may be Ross' last opportunity to claim an Olympic gold. But she's still convinced of winning top awards. Ross declared on NBC Boston: "If we perform our best and If we play our best I believe we can win the gold medal." "I'm also going to try to have a bit of luck." Ross born the 22, 1982, located in Costa Mesa California. She resided there together with her parents. She was able to participate in many activities in Newport Harbor High School. Her prep athletic career included indoor volleyball, as well as basketball, running and track. But she stood out at this level. The college bio says that she was an outside hitter middle blocker, and setter during her volleyball career during high school. For her efforts she was awarded in 1999 as the Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. The 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Month was also received by her for volleyball. Even though Ross Klineman and Ross are in the spotlight since the year 2017, Klineman was already a big-time player on the beach scene even before the pair formed. Actually, Ross has won several important tournaments throughout her career along with her two teammates. One of them is a volleyball legend. From 2007 to 2013 she was in a partnership by Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Ross, the teammate of Kessy's, who was the winner of the world championship with Kessy in 2009, also was significant on the international stage. In 2012, the pair took silver in London's Olympics. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the trio that could take home the gold. Ross Jennings was May-Treanor's replacement as she left the team. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics 2016. Ross was a player for the Trojans of USC in her the college years following her graduation from in high school. The time she spent at USC was impressive. In 2000, she was named Pac-10 Freshman and NCAA Freshman of the Year, and was also an All-American. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans to make it to into the Final Four. The Trojans suffered a heartbreaking personal loss in her sophomore season, but she still repeated in the ranks of an All-American. In her last two seasons within the team, she guided the Trojans to the summit of the mountain winning consecutive national championships. Ross was an excellent player on the court, and was awarded the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female volleyball player at the college level. Ross majored in international relations at USC. Margie Ross did not get to witness Ross become the highest beach volleyball level. Ross suffered the loss of her mother to breast cancer in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. This meant that Ross remains close to her parent who died. Margie has inspired her both in her personal life and at the beaches.
